Built by process engineers, for process engineers.

ProcessEngineer.io is a brand operated by Design Dynamics Engineering BV, a small Dutch process engineering practice. We build the AI tools we wished existed when we were sitting in HAZOP rooms ourselves. We are not a generic AI consultancy that picked chemicals as a vertical. We are process engineers who learned to build software because the work demanded it.

What we do, in one paragraph

We combine 15+ years of process engineering with AI built for chemical plant workflows. The deployment architecture, from on-prem to EU-hosted cloud, is scoped during discovery so it matches your actual compliance posture. You get a system that understands your PFDs and a deployment that fits your data.

Process engineering first means our tools are built around how engineers actually work. The HAZID Assistant pre-populates the worksheet you would build by hand. The P&ID Review Assistant flags the rule violations a senior reviewer would flag. Luma watches the same multivariate behaviour an experienced control room operator notices, just earlier and across more tags.

AI built for chemical plant workflows means we constrain the model to your terminology, your codes (API, IEC, NFPA, NACE), your drawings, and your sheet conventions. We do not ship a general LLM with a system prompt; we ship a pipeline that grounds every claim in a tag, a node, or a paragraph from a code.

Deployment scoped to your compliance means we do not promise a single architecture before we know yours. EU-hosted cloud, on-prem, or a hybrid where ingestion runs at the edge and analytics runs in the cloud, these are choices we make together, in discovery, after we understand what your auditors and your data classification actually require.

  • Hands-on with FEED and detailed engineering on packages from €18M to $12B, including HAZID and HAZOP studies, P&ID development in AutoCAD Plant 3D, and process modelling in Aspen Plus and ChemCAD.
